Volunteer in Mexico is an independent program whereby candidates gain real international work experience while immersing themselves in another culture. The program begins with a two week intensive Spanish course in Oaxaca with local Mexican teachers. Candidates will then participate in a 4 hour a day volunteer position in a local Mexican organisation. Part of the application process is a phone interview to ensure that candidates are suitable for this position - we can usually guarantee placement. The Adelante program is not competitive and starts the first Monday of each month.

Participation in this program will massively upgrade your resume and provide the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish. All candidates have a local Supervisor at their work assignments, plus an English-speaking Adelante Advisor living in Oaxaca. This is a fairly customized program and process. Housing is your own room in a shared apartment.
