Description

After several international volunteer projects which were very successful, the town wishes to welcome volunteers again this summer. Under the supervision of a municipal employee, the team of volunteers will continue the restoration work on the patrimony buildings, thus, it will mainly be masonry work.

Possible free time activities: Discovering the region by visits to the towns of Privas (its night market), of Valence and of Montelimar; visit of the paleontology museum (fossils) in La Voulte; discovering many picturesque villages (Coux, Pranles, Ajoux, St Vincent de Barres, Chomerac), sports activities (hikes, rides, swimming in the river); visit of caves; meals; sport tournaments with locals, swimming pool. Excursion in the Ardeche gorges. Meeting with other workcamps.

St Julien en St Alban is located 4 km east of the Rhone valley. Town of 1000 inhabitants, it is located in a broad plain, at an altitude of 125 m, along the Ouveze gorges which open on the Portes du Bas-Vivarais. The village has two historical sites: the castle of St Albans ruins and its small Roman church.
