Description

Chez Alpha Books and English Language Services in Dakar, Senegal invites applicants for the intern position of English Language instructor. The internship opportunity is ongoing and year round.

Chez Alpha provides private and group English courses along with SAT and TOEFL prep to the students and working adults.

Courses are normally between hours of 9 am-6 pm with a flexible schedule although teaching can easily be six days per week.

Instructors are paid a salary relative to the local scale per class and must be able to commit to a 6 month period.

Other areas include providing SAT and TOEFL prep or tutorial assistance in English.

Qualifications

* Able to work within an existing team of local administrators
* Previous teaching experience required
* Minimum Bachelor degree
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Able to work within the reality of day to day life in Dakar, including powercuts, rainy season, etc.
* French speaking skills helpful but not required
* Professional appearance and attitude
* Strong level of commitment
