Description
Volunteers adventure travel to help on summer or workcamp will put smiles on the faces of the poor people in our deprive communities in Ghana. This project is necessary because government alone cannot develop all the communities therefore there is the need for rural communities to take initiative in developing their communities by putting their destiny into their own hands. In this regard volunteers serve as motivator on these projects. We are constructing a three unit classroom black for kindergarten kids who are currently under an improvised shed at the mercy of the weather.
Your Role as Volunteer:
Volunteers will be involves in doing unskilled work such as digging, mixing sand and cement, carrying rocks, sand and bricks, fetching water, and painting the school buildings. They will be led and work together with local skilled people who will be providing free labor for the improvement of their communities.
What to bring along:
Camp tents, bootstrowel, spirit level, gloves, tape measures, raincoats, jackets, overall, helmets and any other interesting materials.
Highlights
Volunteers will learn and share community development ideas and there will be a free community interaction where you learn the culture of the communities. There are free weekend tours for volunteers.
Qualifications
This is a summer Camp Project where volunteers will be needed to help build a community school in the Volta region of Ghana so volunteer labor will be needed in building of the school block and also the volunteer should be ready to volunteer for 6 hours per day and week ends are always out.
