Description

Volunteer in Buenos Aires. Soup kitchens in Buenos Aires are the daily source of nutrition for thousands of people. The 'comedor' serves lunch and dinner daily with food donated from local businesses. ELI works with several soup kitchens throughout the city. Work at a soup kitchen involves preparing and serving the meals, interacting with those that come in for a meal, cleaning after the service and helping out with clothing and donation drives. Volunteers at this placement also assist with other projects such as youth programs and the distribution of food baskets and medical supplies.

Highlights

Live and work in one of the most exciting cities in South America. Working at a soup kitchen will give volunteers unique insight into the real effects of economic depression.
