Description
Help a local community defeat poverty by helping educate and care for the local children in the incredible city of Buenos Aires. Working alongside local teachers you will become integrated into daily life, enjoying local delicacies such as cheese and meat pastries, or chicha, the sacred corn drink of the Incas. In your evenings you can try learning some dance moves such as the tango, the national dance, with your Argentine colleagues or brush up on your conversational Spanish. Visit a country steeped in mystery and take a piece of the culture home with you in the form of lifelong friendships.
What will I be doing?
Teaching English as a foreign language to sometimes underprivileged and impoverished children on a daily basis is as rewarding and enjoyable for you as it is for them. By teaching these children, you are equipping them with the tools they need to liberate or prevent themselves from entering the cycle of deprivation that they may be held in. You will work for approximately four hours a day in primary and secondary schools, with enough free time to absorb the fascinating sights and sounds of cosmopolitan Buenos Aires. Your pupils will benefit hugely from the interactive and fun teaching style that TEFL training introduces. Completing your practical training in Argentina contributes to an achievement that will last you a lifetime and potentially lead to other exciting and valuable opportunities.
