Description
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the heart of the rainforest, in one of the most spectacular locations on Earth? To wake up to the sight of a delicate mist hanging amongst towering rainforest trees, inhabited by nesting Orangutans, where the sound of the beating wings of a huge hornbill drifts through the rainforest canopy?
Join our Wildlife, Coral Reef and Orangutan Adventure for a once in a lifetime experience that blends an exhilarating jungle expedition with a tropical ecology field course and coral reef discovery. This unique opportunity will give you a lifetime of memories, whilst seriously expanding your understanding of the tropical rainforest and giving you essential jungle skills.
* What Will I Be Doing?
You will have the unique opportunity to learn about the tropical rainforest in a newly refurbished research facility set in the middle of the tropical rainforest. Your course can be used as a launch pad for further studies, to accompany current studies in the area of ecology and conservation or to build on current interest in the area.
* Where Will I Be Staying?
For the majority of the expedition you will be in clean and comfortable lodge-style hostels where you will be sleeping in bunk beds and will have access to showers, toilets and mains electricity. For the rainforest trekking part of your adventure, you will be camping in the jungle using your hammocks and bashers that you will be supplied with. You will also spend some time in local Malaysian homestays where you'll have the chance to really sample Bornean cuisine and hospitality.
