Description

Spend your time caring for local children as an International Au Pair in Germany! You can help to improve and eliminate stress in the lives of families throughout the country. Au Pair Responsibilities Include:
- Living with the host family as a member of the family and the desire for a strong cross-cultural relationship.
- Helping with babysitting, child care and general household duties.
- Assisting the German family with English language as desired.
- Adjusting to the German culture and customs, while sharing your culture and language with the host family.
- Occupying the children in an interesting and creative way, reading books to them, taking them for a walk, taking them to bed, preparing simple meals, taking them to the kindergarten, etc.

Immerse yourself in the German culture and your German family while caring for young children. Learn while taking classes (if you choose), explore the area during your time off, become a member of your German family, and have an incredible cultural experience.

Au Pairs take on a share of the family's responsibility for childcare as well as some light housework, and receive a monetary allowance for personal use.

Qualifications

- Must be between the ages of 18 and 24. We can currently take Au Pairs from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland.
- Au Pairs must have previous childcare/babysitting experience, and a genuine love of children.
- Be able to commit to at least 6 months as an au pair.
- Have basic skills in German and motivated to achieve a higher fluency.
- Have driving experience.
- Be able to swim.
- Have references from childcare experience, interest in working with children and have a love of children.
