Description
Many interesting and rewarding positions available: volunteer in a hospital or health clinic, work with street children or in an orphanage, help at a community clinic for the poor, work with disabled children, or teach English in a disadvantaged neighborhood.
Unfortunately, with the high income disparity in Argentina, there is an almost unlimited number of areas in which help is needed. Areas where help is particularly needed are in the healthcare field and working with disadvantaged youth.
See our website for a list of just some of the available volunteer positions. Please inquire for a current complete list of volunteering opportunites in Buenos Aires.

GIC Argentina - Grupo de Intercambio Cultural's Mission Statement
We believe that participating in a cultural exchange is more than simply traveling to or staying in another country. We believe that such exchange is a once in a lifetime opportunity to understand other cultures, increase communication across national boundaries, and allow people to come to understand the similarities that tie us together yet still gain new perspectives on the world. We further believe that by expanding our knowledge of the world we will learn to overcome barriers that so frequently separate us. These goals are particularly important considering current world events. We strive to promote good understanding and communication by means of living and learning together. In order to achieve this, every year we design and coordinate many different educational programs in a variety of areas such as languages, arts and sports. At GIC Argentina, we hope that our work in furthering these goals will contribute in some small measure to greater peace and understanding in the world.
