You'll work with impoverished rural communities to better their lives: in the mountains, helping to build their water systems and homes, and in the lowlands, contributing to reforestation projects. Based in San Diego, CA Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) offers community service trips to Africa, Asia and Latin America. Programs are only for high schools students and focus on community service, hands-on learning, and adventure. On the weekends, students engage in exciting excursions to places of cultural and historical significance.
