Description
The Lea Toto placement implements the Home Based Care (HBC) model with an objection to improve the quality of life of the HIV affected through a package of comprehensive care for the client and his/her family. This package usually includes:
- Basic medical and nursing care
- Counseling and psychological support
- Spiritual guidance
- Relief for social needs
- HIV transmission prevention education
- Promotion of community empowerment/ownership
- Self-help

The program fee will cover transportation to and from airport in host country, host family accommodations including 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner), Government levies, in-country 24/7 support and supervision.
Additional costs:
- A registration fee of USD200 that covers 24/7 Support from GVVN staff, program promotion costs, administrative costs, travel costs to inspect programs and communication costs with volunteers.
- Visa (USD 25 - Obtained upon arrival in Nairobi, Kenya), airfare, vaccinations, trips and tours while in Kenya, spending money (USD 25 is usually sufficient for basic weekly expenses.)
