Description

This project is a lot of fun for the whole family!

The structure of this project for families is a bit different, in that the families will get the opportunity to start the construction from the very first step, and during your time at the resort complete the entire project from start to finish. This will give you and your family a chance to learn all about the construction of mud bricks, sustainable living in the desert, and using recycled and reclaimed objects to feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment when you see you've turned a little patch of desert into a fully functional, eco-friendly building!

Highlights

Enjoy this special part of Israel like you never have before! In this holiday resort made out of mud, you'll be able to be one with the desert, earth, and stars.

This is a unique opportunity to introduce your family to life in the desert. You will get to know the ways of the desert, eat bread made from a mud oven, learn about earth building and sculpturing, and even tour the local farm and help out in Ronit's Vegetable Garden!

You'll have the amazing opportunity to ride camels through the desert, take a jeep ride in Wadi "Ashosh" and walk through breathtaking desert canyons. Experience authentic music and bellydancing, and practice shooting with a bow and arrow, while you watch the powerful red sun meet the sandy horizon.

Volunteers will receive 1 day off a week to explore other regions of Israel such as Eilat and Jerusalem. There are beautiful hiking canyons within a 10-40 minute drive of the project as well as an antelope farm and a crocodile farm that your family are sure to enjoy!
