This volunteer program is a rare opportunity to live and work in the fascinating and diverse Brazilian Pantanal wetlands. You will assist professional researchers collecting data on wild animal populations within the region. In particular, you will learn how the peccary populations are being affected by local cattle ranching methods and deforestation in the area while helping to implement initiatives that work to combat these affects. Being directly involved with the wildlife research will grant you intimate access to one of the world's most biologically diverse regions and will definitely be an unforgettable experience.
