Description
Volunteers and staff at this project in Peru work towards giving a fresh start to youth with disabilities or who have been abused and abandoned. As a volunteer in Peru you will be helping to bring these marginalized children into mainstream society so that they can thrive just like any other normal child. Through education, family support, therapy and a little bit of laughter this center is currently supporting over 200 children and their families.

* Teaching assistance needed at the school
* Help supervise the children during excursions
* Teach English to Peruvian staff, children, and parents of children
* Assist with dance and drama workshops
* Help make bread, pizzas, ceramics, jewelry, cards, and t-shirts to sell in the shop
* Youth sports - organize games and tournaments when needed, supervise activities
Qualifications
* Volunteers should be 18 years of age or older and able to make a minimum 4 week commitment (maximum 3 months).
* Volunteers must be patient and willing to work with children who may have some behavioral issues.
