Description
Volunteer at an Argentinian school for indigenous Mapuche children set in a beautiful location in the foothills of the Andes. The opportunities for volunteers are plentiful: tutoring in English, assisting with art classes, maintaining the grounds and for females to work in the girl's dorm. They also have a big farm with an extension store in town. Knowledge of Spanish is not required, but highly recommended. The director and his wife speak fluent English. Opportunities to explore the impressive nearby national parks and Chile is accessible by bus. Volunteers stay at the school and eat with the students.
