Description

Join Livnot's four-week Galilee Fellowship or one-week Northern Exposure programs for hiking (2-3 hikes EVERY week!), meaningful volunteering, learning through nature and spirituality workshops. Get off the bus and experience the Galilee with all of your senses. Dig into excavations from the 16th century, lunch with local families on Shabbat, connect to a unique community. Take a break from the daily grind or living out of your suitcase and make yourself at home in the Artists' Colony of the mystical Old City of Tzfat.

What is included:

* Housing
* 2 meals/day, 7 days/week
* 2-3 hikes every week, including:
- 3-day sea-to-sea hike (Galilee Fellowship only)
- Overnight desert excursion (Galilee Fellowship only)
- Night hike to ancient ruins
- Trekking through waterfalls in the Golan and Galilee
* Up to 25 hours of community service per week
- Renovating bomb shelters
- Activities with Ethiopian immigrant children
- Volunteering at clothing/food banks
- Public gardening
- Teaching English to disadvantaged students
- Working together with local residents to improve dilapidated apartments and playgrounds
- Excavating bakeries and bathhouses from the 16th century

Qualifications

Programs are geared for young Jewish adults, ages 21-30, with minimal formal Jewish education. No Hebrew or prior experience is required.
