Description

Background:
Mind Uganda was founded in December 2009 by a group of Ugandan nationals and registered under the Government of Uganda as a company limited by guarantee (Non profit making organization) in April 2011.

The founding members of Mind Uganda realized that there was an increase in the number of orphans, vulnerable people and women (OVPW) in the country, deteriorating standard of living among the masses as a result of alarming levels of poverty in the country being fueled by the global financial constraints, poor health. With such a background Mind Uganda founding members felt that there was a need to support such people for their well-being and the entire community in general. Through empowering them to participate in decision making and advocate for their rights helps us to develop children, youth and elderly physically and emotionally, hence developing into responsible citizens.

Mind Ugand is a registered non-profit oriented organiation registration No: 129866 that targets vulnerable communities.It started her operations in December, 2009 and operates in Mubende and Kyankwanzi districts.

Mind Uganda was founded strategically to improve the lives of the marginalised groups of people in our local communities in Uganda, therefore, it is a grassroot based organisation that works with the last person on the ground.

Mind Uganda was founded by Mr. Biryomuriwe Gad, who lured other 8 people to join him that is; Birungi Jemimah, Asaasira Genunine, Tasingika Irene, Kamusheijja K Stephen, Tusiime Lillian, Barigye Ivan, Rwakozyo Solomon and Muhoozi Erisa

Mind Uganda was founded with belief of changing people's miserable living into a better living with their motto of people empowering people. It's upon this ground that;

Mind Uganda dedicates all her solicited funds to; Sponsorship for orphans through placement in schools in their respective communities and raising awareness on their needs and potentials, Helping vulnerable people like the old aged, the lame, most sick with chronical diseases e.g T.B and HIV/AIDS, the most poor e.t.c, Supporting female and grand parent headed families with basic skills and income support activities through providing micro-credits where neccessary to improve their livelihood.

MIND; Therefore, stands to be the element that enables other people be aware of the world, think, feel, tourch and solve their experiences. It's upon this ground that Mr. Biryomuriwe Gad was inspired to come up with Mind Uganda.

We welcome all sorts of aid to support our cause.

Remember YOU and I, we "empower to be empowered" for it's only people empowering people. Use your dollar to save hundreds, thousands and millions of people in Uganda.
