Description
Give Filipino youth an outlet for movement, dance, and performance as you share your dance skills with children at a community center in Tacloban City, Philippines. Through this volunteering opportunity you will be able to establish structure and fun for children during their summer months, along with creating a space for artistic and personal development. You will also learn about Filipino culture, gaining an understanding about the children you are serving and the vibrant arts history of the community. As a volunteer at this thriving community center, you will be part of a larger team that empowers adults, teens, and children by providing important services. Volunteers are needed most during summer months since students are no longer in school and spend most of the day at the community center. The minimum volunteering requirement is 10 hours per week for one week, but PAA strongly recommends two weeks.
