Highlights
Pop Wuj - Spanish School Guatemala is owned and operated by a teachers' cooperative whose job assignments include teaching, administration, direction of projects, direction of extracurricular activities such as field trips, movies, and lectures, supervision of host families, and making teacher and family assignments. These cooperative members and auxiliary teachers also perform all the necessary day-to-day chores from sweeping the floors to rewiring the lights. The students usually find themselves sharing in these tasks voluntarily. Pop Wuj has very much a community atmosphere: we all get to know each other, and we try to make the school "a home away from home".
