On this volunteer program you will have the opportunity to teach English to locals who have little or no contact with native English speakers. You'll also assist local teachers through lessons, interaction with students and their homework and participate in educational games and activities. You'll either be based at a school, educational facility or center. Many of the locals are genuinely interested in spending quality time with volunteers, providing you with the chance to positively interact with many of the residents of Buenos Aires.Your role will vary throughout your volunteer program. Here are a few activities where you may offer support:

* English study sessions
* Teaching English or assisting local teachers with lessons (grammar, conversation)
* Help with children's English homework
* Reading children's English books
* Educational workshops
* Information about health and safety
* Basic education classes (examples include hygiene and nutrition)
* Games and activities

Please bring a pro-active attitude with you to the project! The more flexible you are, the more you will get out of the project.

Highlights

Argentina is a South-American country with a great deal to offer. It provides a truly diverse range of attractions for visitors from high culture offered by the country's museums, architecture and rich traditional art forms, to an energetic spectrum of activities including some of the best water and snow sports to be found in the world. A land of breath-taking beauty and dramatic vistas, Argentina offers the traveler an experience like no other.Argentina is the second largest country in South America, almost 30% of Europe's total area. European influence is strong with around 85% of the population being of European descent, something that is reflected in the culture. Despite the strong European connections, the Argentinean spirit is unique and the people are proudly nationalistic.
