Highlights
With 4.5 million inhabitants and a surface area of approximately 19.000 sq. miles, Costa Rica is one of the smallest countries in Central America. Home to thousands of species of flora and wildlife, beautiful landscapes and ideal beaches, there is much for the volunteer and tourist alike!
Despite the country's small size, Costa Rica still manages to protect 23% of their lands through national reserves and parks. Hence this dense population of incredibly diverse flora and fauna need help in protecting and conserving the natural miracles of this country!
