Description
In general you will help us in the construction of new homes for families in need, although we sometimes have opportunities for Greater Blessings projects where we perform small repairs or improvements on existing homes. Much of the volunteer work for these projects includes, but is not limited to, making and pouring lots of concrete, digging holes, and moving construction materials. Volunteers are able to briefly immerse themselves in the local culture while furthering the Fuller Center mission of eliminating poverty housing worldwide.
Highlights
Having the opportunity to immerse yourself in a different culture and work side by side with local families who are in need of decent, simple housing. You get to experience the joy of giving a family a beacon of hope by providing them with a home and helping them take a step towards a better life! While our work site is an active construction zone, it is also an active neighborhood with many families kids which you will have the opportunity to get interact with and get to know. You will also a couple of days to visit many fun tourism opportunities or you can just relax on the beach which is where your lodging will be!
