Description

Our partners serve the poorest and most vulnerable people in their communities. They are continually striving to improve their work, and volunteers and interns help make that happen. Community Development refers to activities that help build capacity and create the building blocks for lasting change. It encompasses a wide variety of tasks.

Your Role
At present FORUDEF provides care to 100 orphans, yet 700 orphans in need of care have been identified in Buea. FORUDEF provides care to orphans by providing gifts, basic food items, educational items for those of school age, health care (de-worming the kids), and counseling services as appropriate. Previously, this program was funded in large-part by the Cameroon Government. Currently, activities have decreased; despite growing need funding is limited.

Examples of Activities:
* Search for potential donors
* Update orphan database
* Write funding proposals
* Distribute items to orphans and vulnerable children when available
* Provide psycho-social care (counseling inclusive)
* Report
