Description

In the absence of adequate waste management provided by the government, our partner, Action Plus, has operated a waste collection service since 1998. An intern is sought to develop a waste management strategy that would enable composting and the environmentally friendly disposal of household waste.

Your Role
This position is ideal for an early career professional with experience and knowledge in waste management. Action Plus has recognized the need for composting and effective waste management, but cannot find local expertise to make this happen. Therefore, in this role, a volunteer would need to be comfortable sharing knowledge with others, and taking on a leadership role within the organization

Examples of Activities
* Conduct needs assessment with local staff
* Develop and propose waste management strategy
* Seek funding for waste management strategy
* Train local staff to implement waste management strategy
