Description

The program is strictly performed in the hospital which is in the category of district hospital to National hospital.

The participants or students have already qualified to enroll in medical school in their first years or second years and they are required by their respective medical schools to volunteer for 4 weeks of medical elective at a working hospital.

Participants already have some skills in first aid, taking/drawing of blood from the patients e.t.c.

The students are assigned to the district hospital where they are required to attain certain skills like learning the history, medical and examinations techniques and the ability of recognising clinical signs of diseases. They are also assigned to a preceptor who will be guiding them through the elective program as a mentor.

The students are required to takes notes during the mentorship at the hospital in the various departments at the hospital in the 4 week program.

Highlights

The students or participants are required to have an overall white coat, stethoscope, or scrubs to be able to carry out the various procedures while assisting their mentors.

Qualifications

These program is specifically for the candidates or participants who have started medical school in their respective institution throughout the world, and pursuing different fields in the health institution be it nursing or medical.
